The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is accredited by WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC), the regional accrediting agency serving higher education institutions in California, Hawaii, and the Pacific Region. The U.S. Department of Education recognizes WSCUC accreditation as certifying institutional eligibility for federal funding across a range of programs, including student access to federal financial aid.
UCLA has been accredited since 1949; our accreditation was most recently reaffirmed in June 2010. WSCUC has asked us to participate in its institutional review process for our next reaffirmation of accreditation, which includes an offsite review in spring 2019 and an accreditation visit in fall 2019. Toward that end, we will be submitting our institutional report in December 2018.
This web page serves as UCLA’s accreditation portal and is the public face of our accreditation efforts. In these pages you will find not only historical documents from previous reaffirmations, but also important documents and links as they are developed for our next institutional review as we prepare for WSCUC’s Offsite Review (OSR) and Accreditation Visit (AV).
I invite you to take a few moments to review the site and learn more about the excellent work at UCLA that is reflected in this reaffirmation process.
