WELCOME
Welcome.
It is my pleasure to share with you both the WSCUC Commission action letter and the visiting team’s report for the campus’s 2019 reaffirmation of accreditation review. For information about how to have your new academic program receive its required review by WSCUC as part of UCLA’s approval process, please consult this document. Please consult this page for documentation that your program has completed WSCUC’s required review.
The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC), the regional accrediting agency serving higher education institutions in California, Hawaii, and the Pacific Region. The U.S. Department of Education recognizes WSCUC accreditation as certifying institutional eligibility for federal funding across a range of programs, including student access to federal financial aid.
UCLA has been accredited since 1949. The 2019 reaffirmation of accreditation review, which WSCUC completed with the Commission’s action letter, included an offsite review in spring 2019 and an accreditation visit in fall 2019. To begin the process, the campus submitted our institutional report in December 2018.
This web page serves as UCLA’s accreditation portal and is the public face of our accreditation efforts. In these pages you will find not only historical documents from previous reaffirmations, but also important documents and links.
I invite you to take a few moments to review the site and learn more about the excellent work at UCLA that is reflected in this reaffirmation process.
Sincerely,
Adriana Galván
Dean of Undergraduate Education
